Sarah Waldie, MA, CCC-SLP

Director, Adult and Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist

Sarah is the clinical director of Lakes SLP and has worked as a speech-language pathologist since 2013. She received her bachelor's and master's degrees of Communicative Sciences and Disorders at Michigan State University. Sarah has experience in medical and clinic settings - including outpatient, acute care, and subacute rehabilitation. Sarah started out working with adolescents and adults and then shifted to pediatrics after curiously watching her son develop language. Sarah’s clinical interests include stuttering, neurological rehab, and early childhood language.  Outside of being a SLP, Sarah enjoys spending time with her family, being outdoors, and reading. 

Candice Smale, MA, CCC-SLP

Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist

Candice received her bachelor’s degree in Communication Disorders from Central Michigan University and her master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Western Michigan University. She has previous experience in medical, school and clinic settings. Candice sees pediatric clients and specializes in early intervention, late talkers, and childhood apraxia of speech. She has completed training in gestalt language processing and is a certified natural language acquisition practitioner. Candice is a wife, a mother of two boys, and a dog mom to a yellow lab named Moose. When she’s not spending time with her family, Candice enjoys puzzles, riding her Peloton, and a good cup of coffee. 

Victoria Hannawa, M.A, CF-SLP

Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist

Victoria is a bilingual speech-language pathologist who works with all client populations. She received her bachelor's degree in Linguistics and master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Wayne State University. Victoria will complete her clinical fellowship this year. Her clinical interests include early childhood language, stuttering, and cognitive-communication. Neurodiversity-affirming care, family involvement, and multicultural perspectives are at the heart of Victoria’s clinical practice. Outside of being an SLP, Victoria enjoys exercising, hiking, and trying new restaurants. 

Tracy Mussatto, MA, CCC-SLP

Adult and Adolescent Speech-Language Pathologist

Tracy is a speech-language pathologist who works with adult and adolescent clients. Tracy received her bachelor’s degree in Communication Disorders and master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology at Central Michigan University. She’s worked in outpatient, inpatient rehab, subacute rehab, and home health medical locations. Tracy specializes in neurorehabilitation with extensive experience with concussion, stroke, traumatic brain injury, Parkinson’s, and others. Outside of being a SLP, you can find Tracy at a dance competition with her daughters, taking a barre class, or spending time with family and friends. 

 
 

Lauren Stawecki, MA, CCC-SLP

Adult and Adolescent Speech-Language Pathologist

Lauren has worked as an SLP since 2015. She received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Communicative Sciences and Disorders at Michigan State University (Go green!). She has worked in hospital and clinic settings. Lauren specializes in neurorehabilitation, stuttering, and speech disorders associated with Parkinson’s. She is LSVT certified and has experience working with stroke, TBI, concussion, dementia, voice, and neurodegenerative diagnoses. Lauren is a wife and new mother. Outside of being an SLP, she enjoys biking, reading, traveling, and hosting gatherings with family and friends.

 
 

Brittany Doherty

Administration

Brittany has a background in operations, events and managing a team of adults with disabilities. Brittany is a wife and a mama of two beautiful little girls. When she's not working, you can find her outside in her garden, skiing on the slopes, or chasing her girls around!
